The Explorer Guy Goes to Lat. 9.40° South, Long. 43.67° East; Seychelles Islands

What can I say about the Seychelles, a place of dreams. I know that I have dreamed of going and have not yet fulfilled that vision. I have listened for years to other captains who have visited speak of them in superlatives; the diving, the fishing, the people, all wrapped with descriptions using terms such as- unforgettable, spectacular, stunning, breath taking, and on and on.

The color and clarity of the water, the diversity of marine life from the smallest reef fish to the monster whale shark. Islands untouched and people with quiet smiles. When people begin describing the Seychelles it is as if they are unfurling banners of stories painted in all the bright colors of the world. 22 years ago when I was on the west coast of Australia running a 90' motorsailor named Too Elusive we were suppose to go that way and then plans changed. The reports back then talked of very little infrastructure for yachts or guests.

As you will see in the links below a lot has changed. There are good marinas, hotels and services but I am told that it is still as spectacular as in the past. If anyone has been there and would like to Send In comments, photos, cruising information I would be more then happy to post it.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Warmest regards to all and Explorer life!
